Sometimes our writerly muses stamp their feet and refuse to help.
“Do it yourself,” they snort. “Stop looking to me for inspiration. Haven’t you got any ideas of your own?”
Occasionally, their ‘treat them mean’ attitude works and we find a gem amongst the rubbish heap. Other times though, it takes a friend to keep us going, maybe a friend with a camera.
